Do you milk the goats because my friend has goats and they milk them and the milk is better than cows milk
Weston should actually help you with this task!
At 145 in the back bear was licking the a goats butt
bear licked a goets but
Well I like the idea of the chute, but after watching I would rather just do it manually instead of spending 2500 plus and have it take longer and I know it would frustrate me, great idea though, just needs some bugs worked out
Hello, I hope You all are doing well. God bless you and your family.
Why don't you just disbud the goats like virtually everyone else? You can't even have a show goat with horns at all.
I’m a future homesteader and I love to watch your videos. This video cracked me up!! You’re so funny
I’m asking because I don’t know anything about goats. Why can’t or don’t you trim their horns or cut them off?
I want that chute
That's not a good shoot for those goats with their horns if they were dehorned would be another thing but I'm afraid that they're going to get hurt
Is there a way to trim the horns on the goat's
Can you do a goat video again
Roster:*crows* Me:oop there goes the roster (in the video)
Was a good video. Thank you.
It was free!!
Is goat good to eat???
must ask but are you going to do a Rufus again?? Would love to see a repeat.
Thank you for your honest review of the product. This product mean for large herd owner or animal you can not control. Cheers!
You made my bday lol
🐏🐏🐏🐏🐏🐏🐏🐏🐏🐏🐂🐂🐂🐂🐏🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😀😀👏👏👏👏👏👏
A problem is that you need to trim the horns
Looks like it's good for sheep and lamb.
EVERYONE GO WATCH AND FOLLOW THE WHITE HOUSE ON THE HILL THEY ARE AMAZING I LOVE THEM
Maybe butcher the old does
i hat you
Good video
Dehorn your goats then they will fit in the chute
You had the right solution....you needed at least one other person to help you. Jim rangemastr@aol.com
Never worked a goat shoot, but grew up working a cow shoot. Those were usually a 3-4 person job. I can imagine that the smaller one for sheep/goats would require at least 2 to make it work best. As always, I do enjoy your videos.
You used to just turn the buck out with the goats in their pasture. And had almost perfect results every time. Why the equipment now?
Awww Bears wants some love. Omg had to chuckle a few times. Maybe with the bigger one yeah, little ones take down lol. Stay safe & take care of you all. Thanks for sharing eh :))
Like the shoot. Should have disbudded the goats, it's safer for them anyway.
Could you please ask Houston to shoot me a stag....my freezer is empty....get him to Email the venison.....
That goat be sayin f$&@ you
Pretty awesome! New Subscriber here. Found you through Dutch!
i like your videos but.... it looks like the gouts do not like you are makeing them feel not safe and you are forseing them dont do that if i hade goats i will NOT do that pls dont do that
It most likely work well with dehorned goats.
you should disbud
See I think these are awesome for animals without the horns so for sheep it’s works and could also probably work for Nigerian dwarf goats 😊
@Arms Family Homestead definitely a diverse group of goats you have! If there was a way to first sort them by size, perhaps that would make it easier to utilize the squeeze chute. One thing I have learned from @Sandi Brock is that they need to be worked through the chute a few times before the goats will be better at going into the chute.
Love the video but Dan I got to say this the BLUE TONGUE IS GOING threw Hair and Dung that will go into the goats and maybe the chickens donkey's donkey poodles and Whooper it is up to you for the mind of yes or no for Ms. Lucy but it is all of the other deer also there remember Little Ms. Nina was gone for a while over at Jimmy Houston's got to say this it is Houston Emily Weston tummy that needs to be filled GOD BLESS YOU FOR THE DECISIONS YOU MAKE
As suggested in the comments goats without horns would probably work better. And I must say Whopper is so beautiful.
Daniel , how much $ per goat for their feet ??
You all keep doing what your doing
Poor poor goat 🐐
Dehorn your goats.
Can't wait for peta to start destroying homestead channels
Wow . You sure know how to case those poor babies pain. Really wow. Screaming as you pull on there tail!
Wait if you're only 36, how old were you when your oldest son was born?
😅😅i lived in Lakeland Florida most of my life its a ok city but not the best 😅😅
zit might good for Kevin who has a bunch goats the same size
The chute Would work for young calves.
I think DJ should watch this UZworld video: uzworld.info/player/video/gn_anZeBma-vaZY
That thing would work better on a farm where the goats had no horns.
@12:23 Yay Sandi! A Great Canadian Farmer - one of my other fave farm channels!
Can I ask why don't you dehorn your goats? I know you've went over it before I don't don't remember what you said. Also not trying to be rude just curious. I also watch Sandi and I love her
That chute would work great for dairy goats that have been disbudded. No horns to contend with!
We watch Sandi also. Our girls get excited over watching your channel also. We can’t go in a tractor supply without one of them saying they have this on arms family homestead. They both want to go fishing with Houston.
What does one use donkeys for?
Processing your own goat would be interesting to me. Not the first part, but the trimming it all down. I helped a family with a pig once. There were 5 or 6 of us. We had stations. It was a pretty smooth operation.
Love Sheepishly Me!! The more tyghe goats go through the system the better they will move through. Your thoughts on horn removal on goat kids?
You made Sandi's day when you mentioned her! I love both channels.
14 tower avenue Kingston 11 on Olympic way
I have some goats but I am begin you to buy me a ram goat please I am from Jamaica
What!! Daniel has a beard
The goat the refused to stand up would totally be me as a goat😂❤
your dog bear kissed your goats butt
Do most people take off the horns.when they are small.
It is so cute, looks like a mini cow crush. Houston should work the back of the goats with a pipe. He slides the pipe behind them through the fence and they. Can’t back up.
Daniel the vet told me to give him a stronger dose of warmer than what they recommend on the bottle so I was giving me anywhere from 20 to 30 cc's of that stuff valbazen
👍
Wish we could get one of those chutes. Can’t afford it tho we looked at the pricing on them.
I looked at buying that squeeze chute a few months ago but decided against it I also have horned goats but mine are boers so their horns curl back then out. I already have another cage non squeeze that has that type of auto catch gate and it is a royal PIA with horned goats. I also did not like that I had limited access to the goat, would prefer to have bars instead of that mesh. Plus the horn tips can get caught up in the mesh sides if you use it without the pads. I asked if they had just a manual sizer type head gate but the sale person i spoke with said everyone wanted the auto catch. Not found a squeeze chute yet that I like and I have over 200 goats.
Coming to visit from sandi Brock! Love your farm!
This is what happens when you don't disbud your goats.
Perhaps another body there to help? The horns are the problem... Sandi doesn’t have to contend with them. What about running horns through first then your little does the second run?
Just subscribed - Sandi Brock junkie! Sheepishly Me!
Just a tip. Good to have something in between the ice and vaccine 💉 so it maintains an equilibrium temperature, as direct contact with ice can damage the vaccine, and reduce its effectiveness, I’m an old vaccinator
Maybe take out the old girl and let her pasture for the rest of her life. She doesn't look healthy. Blessings!
Hi I was wondering if you guys mite have some baby goats on the ground sone because I want some
Goats are so much smarter then sheep. Love sandi’s channel, too.
Sheepishly me by Sandi Brock is one of my favorite channels to watch! Awesome shout out!
I think it would be better for hornless goats or sheep...I like Sandy’s old shute, much simpler .
Here from watching Sandy and her sheep...great to find your channel !
Hi Daniel one part that made me laugh was when the goat just lay down in the shoot. Overall love the information and enjoyed watching your video. You have a great day. 🥰❤️🌈
Your such a pro at it for the little one ypu dont need the shoot! Did you catch yoir wild goat? Lol
Thankyou daneil i watch sandi brocks channel all the time her vlogs are awesome and the sheep are cute! She was so excited and inpressed you talked about her on your video! And she said go check you out as well! Thats awesome!
Sandi told me about you, so I've come for a look.
daniel, i watch and follow sandi brock. what i noticed is that goats and sheep do not act the same. once sandi gets one sheep into the chute the others are followers and more compliant. the goats seems to very different. opinionated! :)
That is not the same chute Sandi Brock uses. It might be the same brand but not the same model. Hers the floor doesn't move and there is a panel on the top to stop the ewe from falling out when upside down. Several of the goats got their legs caught on the way out. I'd be afraid of broken legs. :(
Hello Lady_Ryl, .... Sandi uses a Veno (2012) turnover crate from the Dutch manufacturer Venostal, which is still for sale. Look at her Vlog #334, ...... starts at 18:50, and the vlog ....... How I Hoof Trim Our Sheep (USING THE VENO TURNTABLE): Vlog 142 Regards from the Netherlands.
Oh what I would give to be a fly on the wall when your feedback and ours goes back to the manufacturers. We know it works well for sheep. Love to know the manufacturers suggestions for improved results.
Chute not so good with horns.. Love Sandi, her and her family are amazing !!! Love Arms Family too :)
I’ve been following Sandi almost since she began. She’s a fellow Canuck and just absolutely awesome. She does an wonderful job with her sheep and has really helped a lot of people along the way - LOVED the shoutout to her, that’s terrific ❤️ As I understand it, usually most chutes are best used with sheep and de-horned goats. Unfortunately they can be a real pain in the bottom when your goats all have full horns. They’re absolutely awesome otherwise. We borrow one from our very generous neighbour whenever it’s really needed, (and in return I clip all her herd for her prior to doing ours), but for the most part I just trim our goats feet while they’re standing on the milking stand. But ours are all polled or dehorned, so I don’t have to worry about horns waving around my head either lol.
Love Sandi Brock!
We love ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Sandi’s channel! I subscribed to your channel at her recommendation. Glad you ran across her. Good luck this breeding season. Whopper is a really pretty cow. Looks it’s wearing eyeliner.
Hi. Came over from Sheepishly Me. Sandi mentioned you on her channel. Sandi explained that the sheep have a hard time with the Shute at first but once they are used to it they go right in.
How old do goats bread to.
Came to see this video because Sandi from Sheepishly Me said she got a shout out. Glad I did, I like your channel!
Love Sandi Brock! Never miss a video. The shoot works great for her sheep! Guess the horns and the size differences makes it more difficult.
