  • Wow, I can’t believe I am just discovering your UZworld channel. Every single thing you talked about today resonates with me. I am excited to be your latest subscriber...Your set up sounds so much like our own...we heat with wood, grow and preserve a huge garden..even heat our water with the wood stove...cut lumber with just an Alaskan sawmill set up on an old chainsaw. Two barns later , we haven’t purchased one piece of lumber. Harvesting wood for heating and lumber has reduced the wildfire fuel load to a minimum on our property. Thanks for the other channel recommendations as well, Merry Christmas Arms Family!!!

  • Daniel, you probably aren’t able to keep up with your comments at this stage of the game, but Jana and I are fans. Finding ways to help people where they are, doing what you can, with what you have, from where you are is a good way to make the world a better place to live. A friend suggested I reach out to you since we have been struggling getting my wife’s channel going. We started in March, but God prepped me for it in June 2017. It’s been a tough row to hoe. I love “Each one, teach one.”

  • Morning. Great videos. I am in need of some goat advice. ( * I understand advice is just that, but grasping for some thoughts on what is happening) I had a 18 month old goat pass a month ago, and now another ( 2.5 years old, not related) is down ( as in concious but can't stand or eat and drink) and we are doing what we can, while others in herd start to display similar symptoms ( shaking head as if to clear cobwebs, back legs kinda always "hunched" as if in "pain", and some losing weight) All have been given some Oxytetracyclene by injection of 4.5Mil per 100 pounds, and will dose again in a few days. On the goat currently down, stool sample was good, but blood work showed some "parasite" activity, which is why current medicine given by vet order. ** NOT questioning vet's knowledge, but feel as if someone like yourself with such more goat experience may have a clue as to what might be going on, even a suggestion. I can get exact name of "parasite" if needed, but just searching for potential answers everywhere I can. I realize you are busy, and if even refer me to someone who might have some ideas. Thanks, JT

It’s very educational for me. I am handicapped and have been watching to try to find a new way to get back to gardening and outdoors. I am not able to have animals but I think I might be able to do the tubs if higher. Maybe you can think about that and how it’s possible.

Watching your videos/ seeing the love and kindness within your family makes me smile and I don’t feel so alone when I do. Ps life is like a river. it keeps moving, shaping the earth along the way leaving its mark in the world. If we don’t move forward the river becomes stagnant and rancid unable to support life.

  • In reference to your mention of a sawmill. I found a guy named David Groth up in Alaska who made an ingenious tool for cutting wood until you can get the money to get a sawmill. It bolts onto a chainsaw blade. Real slick, and adjustable for thickness of what you want to cut.

  • I enjoy splitting wood but I also found i can work smarter and not as hard im lucky to have a front end loader so I don't have to stress my back out so I put what I can in the bucket and put the bucket next to the splitter and bust it up helps me save time plus having a bad back and a hip knee injury to not stress them nearly as much.

We live on a small (hobby) farm/homestead (if you will) and share all the same interests and desires as your family on a slightly different level. Our relationship with our heavenly father could be a little better but we attended church every week and try to do right by the lord. I use your videos to put myself in check from time to time. We love the content and have watched almost every video you have posted. Keep up the great work and always remember to keep christ in your daily activities! I'm going to send you a hat from my business for you to try. I really enjoy this brand and would love to know what you think of it. Until then Merry Christmas !

  • Good morning Daniel. I appreciate your channel. We live in southcentral Alaska. It is currently -5º. It's nice to see your family activities during our winter confinement. Sawmills are great! We bought our first one nearly 40 years ago, a mobile dimension sawmill. My husband bought a bandsaw mill from a widow neighbor not too long ago. He is having fun with that in our retirement. We met a good friend here in Alaska by watching his YT channel. If your viewers are interested his channel it is Far North Bushcraft and Survival; Lonnie and Connie are their names. They are retired and teach bushcraft skills. They have a great video, "My Wife and I Harvest a Trophy Moose," a life long dream of hunting a large moose in the wilds of Alaska. It's a great video. They spent 19 days out boating and camping; Connie REALLY loves her man(!!!). I won't spoil it for you. Check it out. You'll love it. Thank you. God bless.

I tried growing in my kitchen for a few years, but box store soil that I've bought all came infested with fungus gnats and aphids. I now rely on the year round Farmer's Markets to support local farmers. Thank you for the time and dedication you've given to teaching us so much.
