My dad likes to restore things 👍🏼
Getting old and sentimental. Lol
Daniel....That beer keg was made from Stainless Steel. As loath as I am to impose,... restoring those 'homemade pots' would be an easy task to honor your ancestor's efforts. JMHO....~Eli.
I’m I supposed to be wearing special glasses to watch you welding?? I don’t wanna go blind!! 🤣😂
Grandpa would be proud!! Awesome to keep history going!
Great Family Tradition to carry on and invite a bunch just like grandpa did.
Great job Daniel on the fish cooker that will last forever enjoy!!! ❤❤🐕
The first thing I thought when you brought out those keg pots was "oh man! what a great idea for our huge crab boils at our fish camp at the lake! I gotta make me some of those!!" LOVE IT!!!
You should get a sheet metal. And cut out your logo and weld it on the front that would look nice
VERY COOL!
Think about tying down propane tank
GOOD JOB. I LIKE IT.
Bless you at 18:37
Looks great. need to put wheels on it. Would be great for canning outside to.
I am sure you are doing a great job but you are not restoring, but utilizing an old piece of equipment
Cast net out those Tilapia and fire up those old pans after a nice burn!
Sand blast then clean
Great video! Reminded me of my childhood.
Bless you for your sneeze! Its always so nice to see someone restore such a well loved part of family history. If old fish fryers could talk, this one would probably not stop saying “woohoo!”. Very sharp looking job! Have fun guys!
My hubby uses that same paint, he builds custom smokers and fire pits! It’s a good paint and holds up well
Yep she is right I use it. Works well.
Arms Family Fish Fry open for business. Yum yum . nice restore.
Great job. I love fish 🐠 fries...
As a welding instructor, I love watching this stuff.
Know anyone who has a beading machine, it probably would clean it up fast.
I think I would hooked up the old burners first to see what you had before replacing. Not much that can go wrong with a gas burner. I have about 1/2 doz that came out of old tobacco barnes in Carolina. Either way you got a good one !
Put some wheels on it and then some short handles on the opposite end so you can easily move it around. Also, put a small ring in the bottom to secure the propane bottle.
I would restore those wonderful deep frying pans. Blessings!
Awesome Dusty will love it😎
First thing you need to do is make a T-Shirt with Bear on it!
Sweet restore essence it a sentimental, hey um I like the ol blues type song you had on here is there anyway you can share it to me or let me know song and artist? 😊 thanks
You are fisher for Jesus ....bless blood is in your veins Love you brother 🙏
That is really a serious fryer! You did a fantastic job restoring it.
Daniel, do you have any siblings?
Nice old piece of history! Those burners were probably that big because they used bigger pots for their cooking and frying! Your little burners would have taken forever to heat up the size pots grandpa used!! Also the old burners remind me of the ones they have in Chinese Restaurant stoves, massive and hot! Looking good! God Bless!
Another type of outdoor fish event uzworld.info/player/video/b62WjM2Nl6ileao You mentioned a crawfish boil & I wondered how close a couple of 40lbs bags of crawfish would be to y'all? The other ones would be a clam bake & lobster An old Maine lobsterman method uzworld.info/player/video/k4vLf8lsYqXLmIQ Local history project for the kiddos, see if any of the names can be located from the articles & collect stories from past Arms family fish fries. Need a Noodling story or two imo. Keep Well
Daniel, old is better , I'm 68😜
Is Bear OK?? he seems dragged down , low in energy. He is exposed to some bad stuff in his job. He's old enough to check for tumors and diseases
Locking wheels
Nice cooker! I would probably keep those pots in the pasture and keep them retired. Al not my favorite metal to put food in.
Cast iron dutch ovens would work good to fry fish. Less splatter than skillets.
Crawfish boil for sure. Nostalgia rocks
Bella’s approval of your work will depend on how much you bribe her with fried fish
I am sure your grandpa would be proud
Hey that crappie fish hush puppies and tater tots looked mighty tasty. But they don't carry those type of fish in the store by us! Only flounder, swai, tilapia, salmon and the like.
What are the dimensions
I love history ‼️♥️ I’m Puerto Rican/ Italian & Native... food was a way to connect to our “Ancestors” & to teach/share that with newer generations.. I feel it’s a lost tradition in this modern day... THANK YOU for opening your Arms history with us ‼️‼️🧡💚💜🧡💚💜
One suggestion to add to your fish fryer is a set of wheels with brakes will it easier to move when cleaning the patio
You can deep fry turkeys on it to they are awesome
You can get an adjustable regulator to increase your heat output.
It's a real blessing to get to have that family history and still be living on the family farm.👍🏻
U need a SprayPaintin class ! 😂😂😂
Daniel .... May I suggest wheels with brakes on the rear of it !
Bless you 🤧 Job well done #Daniel 👍😊👍
How many people said "Bless you!" when he sneezed?!
That's really cool.
Need to sand blast one of them
I WILL BRING A BDAY PRESENT FOR A TASTING BITE OF THE FISH.............LOL.....ALL THE WAY FROM PAHRUMP......NEVADA
Interesting pics of all the fish! A lot of family memories!
Sounds like a tradition you need to keep going
Great video. If you have a shop in your area that makes tops for boats they sew you up a heavy canvas cover for that cooker that will make it easier to look at.
Please we are done with lectures please make videos like you use to do earlier.... show us your animals and projects..... I hope i you take this comment in a positive way.....
Daddy used a 16 in pipe cap for fish fries and to make carne gu'sa'da
First addition - custom cover. Where was Emma headed at the end?
Shoot, get some oven cleaner and save those pots.
THAT TURNED OUT AWESOME JUST PUT COME GRAY CORRUGATED TIN ON THE FRONT AND SIDES AND SOME LOCKING WHEELS AND YOUR SET..THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO.
A lot of younger people would just throw that old cooker out as junk. Never thinking about all the good times had around it. I’m glad you saved it.
We use a beer keg too steam are crabs lol love it
DANIEL, YOU COULD GET A METALSMITH TO CUT 2 FRONT DOORS THAT SAY A R M S F A M I L Y F I S H F R Y 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
for now, i recommend at least a few wood blocks under the feet so that the they don't leave rust stains on your new concrete.
Y'all kill me calling spray paint rattle can heard that at hardware store few weeks ago for first time ever had understand different terms for same thing ,like hose pipe means water hose, an pop means cold drank ,soft drink or coke .Thanks
You could use it for canning too
Wis ever Friday is fish fry in restaurant
Great to see you redoing a family treasure but man bring it into your new shop lol
Very nice 😍💋 💝💖♥️❤️
Nice restoration of the family heirloom. Keep that for sure. BTW...might consider putting locking caster wheels on it and screwing in some hooks to mount utensils on. Great job👍
Hello great video. You can get you some griddles to put over the burners and cook on them to.
Very cool Daniel 😀
Awesome
Appreciate the history thanks
Would be nice to put castor wheels on it so it can be easily moved around
Nice 36:14 🍌🍌🍌🍌
Love the fish cooker re-do
Looks great... add some wheels and make a cover for it .
"When you keep criticizing your kids, they don't stop loving you.....they stop loving themselves". Please ease up on Houston, you may not realize how hard you are on that little boy!!
DeJay will need a vacuum air filtration system to direct toxic fumes away.
any pic of that grill..
Turned out great, nice job!!
For cleaning the keg halves I'd recommend filling them with warm water and soaking them with laundry powder with added bleach. 2-3 Tablespoons + a couple of hours should do the job. The enzymes need time. Less scrubbing needed. Works wonders on my stainless steel roasters after making ossubuco milanese or any other long time roasting dinner and cleans up all the nasty organic stuff.... And: cool project. I like that. Looks neat, too!
Bless You, on that sneeze, at our church fall festival, we have a fish-fry booth in which we have 3 separate burners and all use oil in them. At the end of the festival, we used 18 gallons for the 2/day & 3/night it runs, peanut oil in 2 of them & veggie oil in the 3rd one for those that don't want peanut oil.
Brings back fond memories. Thanks for sharing.
Great video, you made your grandpa happy ,and brought a tear to my eyes, l do the same thing with fish frying for churchs in our community. Carrying on family tradition is what reminds us where we came from and those passed on are never forgotten
Pretty cool
Put some shelves on it to put ur stuff on maybe
Daniel while I love the music u have on ur videos pick another song it’s getting old, just FYI love you guys 😁😁😁😁😁❤️❤️❤️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️
Great family history. Bless your grandpa for feeding people. Stay Blessed ☺
That's an awesome fish cooker, gave me a great idea, I believe I'll be making one similar to this, gives a lot of room for whatever you need it for,be blessed.
MmmmMmm fried turkey, whole fried chickens, chicharron pork but fried fish will change taste of oil. Clean taste by french fries. Clean oil by making bucket filter of special charcoal and filter material. Mmm Mmm. Best device for submerging was a chained wire bucket and lower slowly. Always test the amount of oil needed before lowering Delectables. We had a teacher's husband make them for a Thanksgiving late luncheon in school, potluck style NYC
Wow lots of fish they knew how to do it, Are you in any of those pictures Daniel thx for sharing. What happen to Houston’s lip was he chasing girls at school lol 😂
That’s so cool to have a piece of family history like that. Add a set of heavy duty wheels on the left legs and an extended handle on the right and it’ll be perfect! I’m sure yo already had that in mind though!
Great thing to restore! The memories connected to it! It would also make a great outside burner to do canning on if the BTU's are correct! Dual purpose.
