  • I have a suggestion... I would have dug all the poop and loom or just mud out then put the gravel in the reason why I say this is because the gravel will just sink down into the mud and the mud will end up being on top again btw love your videos keep up the great work

  • That machine is a life saver! And you sure know how to handle it. Hope that helps with the mud problem. Presently the show cows need a place out of the dirt and mud! Maybe at times kept inside barn in a stall to get used to being groomed, “by the kids”, I hope! Oops,, is this the FHA group to take care of the show cows. Interesting! Well, dad that was quick helpers... what I know.. as teen helpers!! That story is life for most everyone

  • When you run out of gravel you should go down some trees 🌲 and then rent a wood chipper and put that where you need it. It would be great for the area and when it breaks down it becomes compost for the garden for spring or 2021.

  • I sell that crusher run! 3/4" crusher run, 1 1/2" crusher run, and then 4" Crusher run. Very popular. Put it down in watery mud, it'll never totally dry. if its dry, it'll pack down like concrete......at least that's what I'm told, and its what I park my car on, lol. I love my job and I enjoyed you talking about stone!

By the way it's supposed to get in the 40's this weekend and we haven't had a cold Christmas in twenty years. It's usually in the 80's. With all that's been going on this year, this maybe the best part of 2020.

    Carrie GrosenickCarrie GrosenickOy oldin
  • Daniel, love the videos and all that your doing sense retirement. Fix the mess before it becomes huge is a problem for sure. I've been in construction and excavation site prep work for nearly 30 years. We always save work smarter not harder. That mud is your pain in the butt, I would remove it first before any rock. The rock is heavy and you will lose the rock and the mud, well, you will still have it. Just trying to save u a lot of money and time. I would use tour box blade, scrape it to firm ground with no mud, make that area slope away from buildings and put a shallow trench for water to flow away from your wettest area and add a piece of drainage perforated pipe then lay fabric over the pipe and the cover your whole area with rock. Best of luck

  • That spot with the deepest mud is going to have to have the "dam" broken down or it will always be muddy there after it rains. The sides of that spot have hardened or gotten packed so the water can't seep out. If you had a little backhoe and dig down a couple of feet under that fence to the mud hole and out into the paster area a few feet and break up the ground then fill it back in the water will then have a way to escape and filter/drain out into the rest of the ground instead of being trapped in that hole. If that makes any sense at all. lol. It's bad in that one area because that's the area most animals walked and turned around in for years causing it to pack the soil tight which makes it hold the water in instead of allowing it to drain down, through, and out into the rest of the soil around it.

  • Daniel I have an suggestion for you.I had that mud problem with my Donkey. Get ahold of your local tree removal guy and get a few loads of the grindings from them. Most of them pay to dump it. You need to get your rental place to get you a chipper and you can clean up a lot and you can use that also. Another thing make sure the cows dont get rock in between the toes. Merry Christmas Arms Family

  • Can you get some old or moldy hay to put on the ground on the mud before you put down the rock so the rock does not sink into the mud so fast? Seems like the rocks will just sink down withe the amount of mud you have there! Just my thoughts! God Bless!
