    idahomike100idahomike1002 oy oldin
  • We are currently doing the same thing, except our forest that we are clearing is super thick not open like yours. We are clearing 12 acres using a excavator and dozer, dozer has a heavey duty root rake

  • Daniel, Hey Man I love that you seem much more relaxed and happy sense your early retirement. Have you ever checked with your local county or state forester to have a free land assesment and start a land management plan to replant your losses in trees. You can get seedling trees to raise in your hoop house in large containers for a very cheep price, not all would be evergreen trees. Most lumber mills grow their seedling and they offer all tree species that are native to your state.

  • That counter that Dj did with pictures, gonna look awesome!

Julie Heilman. FamJulie Heilman. Fam2 oy oldin
  • Wow you have lots of leaners. I would get rid of all of them also any twins (two trunks that merge at the base) because they are weak and often split. In response to many comments thinning actually increases the rate of wood growth because the remaining trees grow easily. Too crowded the trees grow slowly and often die as tall thin trees or grow strangly to reach sunlight. You know this but many of your audience don't.
